GOPSHOPPE.Com has the right idea -- Take two things everyone loves (like say, a button and a poll) and put them together with a small price tag! At their website, you can pick who you want to be McCain's #2 and get a rather stylish button of a ticket that may or may not happen.
According to the Poll, Sarah Palin is currently leading the pack, having sold 22.43% of the buttons, with Haley Barbour (15.81%) coming in second and Mitt Romney coming in third (13.97%). Sanford, Hutchison and Steele have also sold a fair amount.
Have you been wondering what's happened to Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin, the only person actively seeking the GOP Vice President slot? Apparently, she's 7 months pregnant with her fifth child! Some would say she'd better "take it easy," but her campaign insists that it's picking up steam. After all, she'll only be inquiring about the health of McCain and casting tie breaker votes in the senate if she assumed the position, so what's the diff?
In the meantime, not much has been said about Haley Barbour recently, as the speculation shifts to Charlie Crist, Mark Sanford and Tim Pawlenty... but there's still a powerful Draft Haley Barbour for VP movement making ads and posting blogs.
Michael Steele is being drafted as "the Hip Hop Republican" who could strike an interesting balance if Obama were the Democratic nominee. Back in 2004, he was the counter-punch to Barack Obama at the Republican National Convention. Steele's gained some rapport among Republicans as a strong Conservative and an eloquent public speaker.

COOL! Thanks for the added trivia, Brian! :)
I always was a lover of the ol' political button...
Thanks Jenn - The button poll has been a great success. When we did the poll in '96, Kemp was in third; in 2000 Elizabeth Dole was winning the poll and we did one in 2004 just for fun playing off the rumors that Cheney was not seeking a second term - Giuliani won that one. GOP Shoppe
